Job Overview

 

Out client's Lifecycle Management team is responsible for the procurement (through a combination of capital purchases and leases), tracking and disposition of all equipment. This team interacts externally with major vendors and internally with Engineering, Project Management, Results Reporting, Finance, Accounting, Senior Management, Data Center Site operations and SOX compliance.

Responsibilities

  • DB inaccuracies for assets
  • Resource to implement active monthly audit cycles to prepare for our annual audits. 
  • This position will drive our disposal process of obsolete equipment in a timely manner. 
  • Candidate will help manage and support testing equipment and inventory tracking for qualifications and testing chassis. 
  • Build consistent DCO interface with sparing needs with vendors and supply chain. 
  • Create and maintain reports that enable us to better forecast sparing needs.  
  • (Accuracy counts, spares management, tooling support, audits, accuracy checks, and troubleshooting support) 
  • Analyze data in asset database repository to identify and fix inaccurate asset data
  • Plan and support physical audit project for data validation
  • Perform monthly SOX compliance testing and fix inaccurate asset data in database
  • RMA management for outgoing/incoming assets in database repository
  • Work with hardware vendors, Asset Supply Management/engineering teams on the details of the orders, quotes, pricing, hardware configurations etc
  • Fulfill hardware procurement ticket requests from internal customers through the use of various asset tracking and purchasing tools
  • Maintain required component and emergency spare inventory levels
  • Provide updates on gaps, issues, trending, other pertinent issues as day to day exceptions are addressed
  • Perform disposal tasks for on time return of capital assets
  • Audit Data Center and storage location(s) as needed to ensure accurate inventory and reporting
  • Request removal of unused hardware from the Data Center Locations for future disposals to ensure maximum space at Data Center
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

  • Undergraduate college degree in Business, Computer Technology/IT and/or a related discipline
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
  • Detail oriented and well organized
  • Self-starter and deal well with ambiguity
  • Superior problem solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize in an extremely high volume and fast paced work environment with constant interruption
  • Ability to work within cross-functional teams
  • Software and coding skills is a + to write scripts and enhancements to existing database. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with IT asset management, finance or accounting
  • Coding experience to write scripts and enhancements to existing database.
