Job Overview 


We are looking for a qualified team leader to manage our onsite team at a client site and provide effective guidance. You will be responsible for supervising, managing and motivating team members daily. You should also be able to act proactively to ensure smooth team operations and effective collaboration. Ultimately, you should lead by example and engage the team to achieve service SLA & performance goals.  


The Data Center Logistics Team Lead is responsible for the execution of material logistics in a data center environment. The role will involve 50% working alongside logistics personnel in the Data Center, 30% managing personnel, and 20% client facing interactions.  This includes the shipping/receiving, storage, distribution and cycle counting of data center inventory/material. The daily onsite management of staff is as important as the management of the client’s service expectations. You should have experience in creating an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture.  


How You Will Make an Impact 

  • Providedirection, instructions, and guidance to team members to ensure achievement of Service SLA & Standards 
  • Develop an operational team strategy to achieve Service Standards & SLA KPI’s
  • Communicate clear instructions to team and seek collaboration of team members
  • Monitor team members' performance to identify training & development needs
  • Provide on the job coaching to aid team development
  • Manage team capacity & utilization for assigned tasks during normal operations
  • Conduct regular one on one employee status meetings to provide performance feedback as well as annual performance reviews


Service Management 

  • Manage the flow of day-to-day operations
  • Support of Data Centeroperations including  
  • Receiving, storing, and shipping materials
  • Maintaining strict inventory control
  • Ensuring accurate and timely shipments and receipts
  • Maintaining accurate records and metrics; audits as necessary
  • Assists in monthly and/or annual physical inventories; provides inventory reports
  • Create weekly reports on team performance and SLA achievements
  • Provide explanations for operational insight into performance results
  • Develop and executes the continuous development of operational services & procedures on site.
  • Keep a strong working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area

Client Relationship Management 

  • MPOC for all site IBOS related queries
  • Client IBOS contact for queries and escalations
  • Weekly Service Review with Client
  • Point of contact for Regional Service Delivery Manager
  • Provides operational knowledge & insight to SDM

Program Management 

  • Site lead for Health & Safety development & execution
  • Site lead on Risk Management & operation of Risk Register
  • Site Lead on development & execution of standard working procedures & best practice


What You Will Need to Succeed 

  • HS Diploma or GED
  • 4+ years of proven work experience in warehouse operations, logistics or related field, including 1+ year in a client-focused or customer support role 
  • 1+ year experience as a team leader or supervisor 
  • Excellent communication, leadership, organization and time managementskills 
  • Work independently and as a member of various teams and committees
  • Decision-making skills with an ability to manage priorities and workflow
  • Versatile, flexible, and a willing to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
  • Analytical knowledge of performance metrics 
  • Strong inventory management control skills
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially MS Excel
  • Understand allhealth & safety requirements and cautions 
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Able to safely lift and move a minimum of fifty (50) pounds
  • Able to stand the duration of the shift


Preferred Qualifications 

  • Degree in Management or certificate in leadership training 
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
