Job Overview

A unique position in which the Logistics Specialist III is responsible for the execution of material logistics in a data center environment. This includes the shipping/receiving, storage, distribution and cycle counting of data center material.


How You Make an Impact:

  • Demonstrates leadership or point of contact during shift assignments
  • Well versed in data center environment
  • Principal duties in support of DC operations including but not limited to receiving, storing, and shipping materials
  • Maintain strict inventory control
  • Ensure accurate and timely shipments and receipts
  • Maintain accurate records and metrics; audits as necessary
  • Assist in monthly and/or annual physical inventories; provides inventory reports
  • Identify, document, and implement opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Keeps a strong working knowledge of all operating systems pertaining to the work area
  • Assist with managing receipts and 3-way match
  • Participate in order planning for facilities team
  • Manage tasks and vendor inventory orders
  • Participate in inventory audits


What You Will Need to Succeed:

  • 4+ years of experience working in warehouse or logistics (receiving, asset life cycle management) logistics certifications or education in lieu of experience
  • Strong inventory management and reporting skills
  • Excellent customer service and relationship management skills
  • Knowledge of warehouse operations best practices
  • Commitment to excellence and high standards
  • Proficient in Windows based programs
  • Strong verbal and written skills
  • Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace
  • Must be versatile, flexible, and willing to work within constantly changing priorities
  • Able to work independently and/or as a team
  • Must have good judgment and be able to make timely and sound decisions
  • Able to understand any and all safety requirements and cautions
  • Able to perform physical labor daily is a must
  • Able to safely lift and move a minimum of fifty 50 pounds with or without assistance
  • Procurement or purchasing experience a plus
